Nakafurano town is just 10 minutes drive from Furano and is a hub for summer tourism. Nakafurano Sanso lodge is  situated on a hill above the town with views overlooking the rural landscape. It is currently operating as a lodge with a large kitchen, dining and lobby area. There are 10 bedrooms plus an owners room on the premises. The lodge sits above Nakafurano Hokusei Ski Area which is 500m away, and is just a few minutes from JR Nakafurano Station and the tourist mecca of Tomita Farm.
